There are wonderful views over the green landscape from one of the balconies.The wine-making village of Irsch is located in a former side branch valley of the Saar. in the Saar-Upper Moselle region. in the middle of Saar-Hunsrück nature sanctuary. Here. sun-bathed vine slopes alternate with forested Mittelgebirg landscapes and broad meadows. The region is perfectly suited for escaping from the hurly-burly of the city and discovering the delights of nature. You should not fail to visit Trier (approx. 20 km). Germanys oldest town with its well-known Roman monuments. Saarburg (approx. 2 km). a romantic medieval town. and the Saar loops at Mettlach (approx. 15 km). Whilst at Mettlach. the Villeroy & Boch Museum is well worth a visit. In short. a real find for hikers. culture-vultures. cyclists and wine-lovers.
