Casas Rurales Picachico is located in the Sierra de los Filabres Mountains in Laroya and within the Almería province. They are comfortable country villas with a flat-screen TV, fireplace, barbecue and a communal outdoor pool. The Picachico villas are equipped with air conditioning and heating. The sitting rooms feature a DVD player and board games, and the kitchens come with a hob and microwave. Some villas have a private hot tub. Next door to the Casas Rurales Picachico is the Mesón Acacia Restaurant, which specialises in traditional Andalusian food. The complex also has a shop selling local artisan products such as ecological wine and ham. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling. Almería Desert and Cabo de Gata Park with its lovely beaches are all within 100 km. The city of Almería is around an hour’s drive away from the Picachico. Mini Hollywood, the filming site of many spaghetti Westerns, is also about 60 minutes’ drive away.
