Only a 5-minute drive from Ascona, the La Rocca hotel in Porto Ronco enjoys a quiet, elevated location, 3 minutes' walk from Lago Maggiore. It offers free Wi-Fi. As of 24 March 2016, an indoor pool and a private beach are available. All guest rooms in the La Rocca hotel are air-conditioned, have a balcony or a terrace and - thanks to the hillside location - offer superb lake views. A notebook can be borrowed from the reception and DVDs can be rented as well. Half board includes the dish of the day for dinner. If you booked half board you can also opt for dining à la carte and will get the half board price refunded. The hotel has its own private beach in Porto Ronco, which is only an 8-minute walk away from the hotel. Typical Ticino dishes and international cuisine are served on the covered terrace or in the restaurant. The hotel bar offers aromatic coffee, fine cakes and selected drinks. Locarno, Ascona, Brissago including the islands, Gambarogno and Italy can also be reached by boat from Porto Ronco.

Please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Guests having booked half-board will be invited to a traditional restaurant (grotto) in the region on this day. A 3-course dinner will be served. Please note that the indoor pool and private beach will be open as of the 7th of April 2017.
