Information über Takahan

Yasunari Kawabata wrote his famous novel, Snow Country, in the Japanese rooms at Takahan. Offering hot-spring baths, Thai massages and karaoke, the ryokan is 5 minutes from Gala Yuzawa Train Station on the free shuttle. Tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon beds create a traditional atmosphere in the rooms at Takahan Ryokan. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, and the attached bathroom comes with a bathtub. Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort and Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort are both about a 5-minute walk away. Yuzawa Kogen Ropeway is about a 5-minute drive, and JR Echigo Yuzawa Station is 1.5 km away. On-site parking is free. Guests can enjoy the hot sauna or unwind in the massage chair at the relaxation room. Coin-operated laundry machines are provided, and the lobby has free Wi-Fi. A Japanese breakfast and traditional multi-course kaiseki dinner are served at the dining room.

Dinner must be reserved 1 day in advance. To use the free shuttle, call upon arriving at Gala Yuzaka Train Station. A free return transfer can be reserved at the front desk. Please note that guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities.
