Founded in 1701 by Johann Georg Pupp, who originally was a confectioner, the Grandhotel Pupp already accommodated such famous guests as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Johann Sebastian Bach and Richard Wagner. All rooms feature elegant furniture, satellite TV and a minibar. Some units also offer a balcony and a flat-screen TV. Digital newspaper and magazine service is available. Please note that children under the age of 15 years are not allowed in the spa area. From 26 February 2017 to the end of April 2017 the Becher's Bar will be closed due to renovations. During this time the property invites you to the Little Hall lobby bar open from Thursday to Sunday to join the music evening with Mr. Janson from 19:00 till 23:00. From 16 to 19 January 2017, the maintenance of a pool and sauna will proceed. The pool will be open again on Friday, 20 January 2017. Please note that the dress code of the hotel is smart casual. On December 31, the price includes a New Year's Eve gala programme with a dinner, but for extra beds it has to be purchased individually. There is a formal dress code required and the tables are for 8 guests. Table for 2 are not available. If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform the property in advance.
