River One Residence offers hostel accommodation within Melaka's Chinatown Heritage Site along Jalan Kampong Pantai. Housed in a refurbished pre-war building, it has free Wi-Fi, shared kitchen facilities and a 24-hour front desk. River One Residence (Formerly known as River One Guest House) enjoys a convenient location, just 5 minutes' walk from landmarks like Porta de Santiago and Sam Po Kong Temple. It is a 10-minute walk from famous Jonker Street. Simply furnished, rooms are fitted with both air conditioning and a fan, as well as wooden flooring. Guests have access to a shared bathroom and toilet. The common lounge area lets guests watch TV, while the outdoor balcony provides beautiful night views of the Melaka River. The 24-hour front desk provides luggage storage and bicycle rentals. Light cooking can be done at the shared kitchen, which has a microwave and dining area. Alternatively, there are many local eateries surrounding the guesthouse.

With effect from 1 April 2012, all bookings are subject to a MYR 2 Heritage Charge per room per night. This is to be paid directly to the hotel. Please note that guests arriving after 18:00 after required to contact the hotel directly, or indicate their estimated time of arrival at the time of booking.
