Located in the picturesque village of Streatley in Berkshire, Streatley Youth Hostel is a Victorian house set next to a particularly scenic part of the river Thames. Free private on-site parking is available and Goring and Streatley Rail Station is only a mile away. The Ridgeway, an ancient trail described as the UK’s oldest road is just 150-meters from the hostel and is a great starting point for bike rides and walks. Beale Wildlife Park and Gardens is within 3 miles of the hostel and the Living Rainforest, an indoor tropical greenhouse, is just 5 miles away. YHA Streatley is conveniently located between Reading, Swindon and Oxford. Reading can be reached within 30 minutes, whilst Swindon and Oxford are less than an hour’s drive. Central London is just over an hour away by car or by train. The hostel’s room sizes vary from private twin bedrooms to large dormitories. Guests can take advantage of the common lounge and dining areas, as well as the communal kitchen.

Evening meals will not available to purchase at the hostel between 01 November 2016 and 10 February 2017. All guests must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. Driver’s license, passport, student ID or similarly recognised national identity cards are accepted. Group bookings: All bookings for 17 people or more cannot be accepted by YHA. Please note that towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can hire them at the property or bring their own. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds. Please note this property does not charge an additional temporary membership fee. Discounts are not available for members of YHA (England and Wales) or IYHF as part of this booking.
