Quick description

A medieval suit of armour watches over you at Minstrels Rest, while you enjoy an award-winning full English breakfast at the 17th-century table. Its historically furnished rooms boast fluffy bathrobes, and free unrestricted parking is provided on the small drive and quiet road just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Hastings. Named after medieval minstrels, the rooms at Minstrels Rest are individually decorated with unique, historic touches, and offer a mini fridge with fresh milk, fruit juices and bottled water. Some rooms feature a hydrotherapy shower or luxurious spa bath, and all offer a selection of magazines and free toiletries. Served with handmade pottery, plates, and jugs on a Jacobean English oak table, locally sourced breakfasts are offered every morning. Tomatoes, fruits and berries come from the garden, free-range eggs come from the local farm, and the jams and marmalades are all home-made. In 1066, the legendary Battle of Hastings took place 15 minutes’ drive away, which is home to Hastings Abbey and the famous Senlac Hill. The pretty seafront can be reached in 5 minutes by car, whilst Hastings Rail Station is 2 miles from the B&B. and guests can be picked up from the station.
